How do I get started?
Just choose the
best hosting package for your website. If you are unsure of which package then
our Linux hosting package should be sufficent or please contact us and one of our technicans can
walk you through the process. You can view our hosting packages through our the navigation

How long will it
take?
It will take between 30 minutes to 3 or 4 hours if you order
within our normal business hours (9am to 6pm PST) and slightly longer outside
normal business hours. If you need instant setup, please call or email us and we
will proritize your Chicago web hosting order.
Are there any
setup fees?
No, as of July 2005 all of our plans have no setup fees.
What are PHP, ASP, ASP.Net and Perl, etc?
These are all programming languages which are referred to by their acronyms.

Each of our plans come with their own traffic limits. If
you have a small business, or personal website with under 100 pages, then any of
our plans will be sufficent. Our larger plans are avilable for medium sized
business or websites with many pages or a lot of users.
Can I protect parts of my site with passwords?
yes, you have an option in your control panel from where you can password
protect your directories.
Are databases
available for use on the web server?
Yes, we have MYSQL on our linux
server and MSSQL 2000 and MS Access 2000 on our Windows 2000 server.
Does your Windows 2000 Server support ASP (
Active Server pages) ?
Yes. It does
What is the database support on Windows web hosting server?
Access 2000, mySQL and MS SQL Server 2000
Can I have oracle database support on Windows 2000 Server?
No. As of now we do not have oracle on Windows Servers.
Is PHP supported on Windows hosting Server?
Yes.

How many
email addresses do I get?
It depends on the plan type, the minium
email is 10 and the larger plans have 100 email. If you need more let us know.
Can I use FrontPage Extensions?
Yes.
What do you not allow on your
servers?
We don't allow any pronogrpahic, hate or any offensive
material.
My CGI scripts are not
working!
There are several reasons why your CGI script is not
working: -You have uploaded your CGI script in BINARY mode. -Please use ASCII
mode when uploading your CGI scripts. -Your file permisions on your script have
not been set. You must change the file permissions on any CGI programs to be
world-readable and world-executable. Your FTP client most likely has an option
to change the file permissions (or CHMOD). Just set the permissions on that file
to 755, or Owner Read & Execute, Group Read & Execute, and World Read
& Execute.
How do I transfer files to my
website?
Files must be transferred to the web server via File
Transport Protocol (FTP). If you need FTP, telnet, mail, or other Internet
software, visit Shareware.com. www.Shareware.com is a source for the latest
Internet applications with ratings and reviews to help you decide which
application is best suited for your needs. An FTP tutorial is also available for
beginner users who may not be familiar with FTP. We can recommend you using the
Cute FTP.
Will I be able to access my site for
updates 24 hours per day?
You have unlimited access via FTP 24-hours
a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer
and upload files to your web site at your leisure.
Is CDONTS supported on Windows 2000 Server?
Yes.
Can you register my dll file in registery of
Windows Server?
Yes. Please email us documentation on the DLL and
once we are certain that it is secure we will register it. A small registration
fee may apply.
How do I connect to MS SQL
Server 2000 ?
We provide a MS SQL login and password for your SQL
database. Connect to the online SQL server using the Enterprise manager or our
online SQL Manager to create tables. Install MS SQL 2000 on your local Windows
NT machine and register the online SQL Server by.... And then this server would
appear on your enterprise manager...Right click and CONNECT and then create your
SQL tables.
What kinds of webhosting accounts

Do I have a control panel for my Chicago web hosting account
from where I can manage my site?
Yes, you can logon to
http://yourdomainname/cpanel and manage your website. Here you will have to
provide your user name and password given to you at the time your account was
created.
Can I get shell (telnet) access to my
site?
For security reasons, we can only provide FTP access to your
website.
Can I install my own cgi scripts?
Yes, All Unix packges can have its own cgi-bin. We monitor for poorly
written scripts that may become resource hogs. Where is Perl located on the web
server? Perl can be found as /usr/bin/perl
